Imagine that you are the owner of a brand that produces a full range of the most necessary products for everyday life: household tools, dishes and kitchen utensils, small electronics and other peripherals. Your products sell well, but mostly adult people buy them.
Don’t young people need the drill to hang a picture by themselves? Sure they need it. Still, they need & want to do it in their style!
So we need to give this product a unique brand design.
Together with our partners, we have created a new logo and packaging design for the Saudi Arabian-based brand. YONOVO — the brand for working tools, small household appliances and electronics, as well as tons of other things useful in the household.
The main goal of the new brand identity is to maximize the audience of the parent company and reach the maximum number of people with its quality products. The logo design turned out to be dynamic, lively and modern. The logo is simple, just a text sign with an additional geometric element. We stripped the triangle of its traditional stability, but thanks to this, we’re able to highlight the feeling of dynamic motion, a hidden call to action. With lightweight letters but great overall contrast, the word YONOVO looks confident and professional despite its young and playful nature.
What about the colour? We used the classic combination of yellow and black, which is very common in graphic design when we mention tools, especially drills and other relatively “dangerous” devices. But we have expanded the range of colours to include pink, mint, greyish dove and even more colours that are not so usual for our brand category. This allows us to look more alive, interesting and memorable.
YONOVO is a product for sale on the marketplace, so we paid more attention to the packaging guidelines, to make a solid first impression when you click on the product card in the catalogue. YONOVO product does not have unique characteristics in technical terms, still, it looks different, which means it works well for our audience: an adult rational person will choose the one that is cheaper among the same options. Young people will choose the option that will look more interesting when all other characteristics are equal.
